The TEA172x product family provides the right solution for different output power levels. It starts with the TEA1721, which is optimized for mobile USB chargers and other power supplies up to 5 W. If higher output power levels are needed, the TEA1722 is the right choice for 8 W applications, while the TEA1723 works for applications requiring up to 11 W. Key benefits of the TEA172x products are the ultra-low standby power consumption and the high efficiency (above 77% over the entire load range). In addition, all TEA172x products have an integrated power MOSFET in a small 7-pin SO package with a high voltage spacer. This integration enables small size power supplies with low bill of materials because only a small number of external components are needed. Primary sensed output voltage helps further reduction of total system cost, as it eliminates the need for opto-coupler components.
