There are three common problem situations. The first is the 2mm HM backplane connectors used in legacy VERSAmodule Eurocard (VME) systems. The industry standard connector designated ‘P0’ (also known as the ‘B19’) on VME64x with VITA31 is limited to a maximum speed of 1.5Gbps per differential pair. VXS standard allows faster (5Gbps) speeds but the 7-row VXS connectors are not compatible with VITA31.
