Automated assembly processes contribute to improved production efficiency and require connectors that are compatible with automated equipment. Previous Phoenix Contact angled M12 PCB connectors required manual assembly and additional drilling to accommodate the snap-hook design. The current Phoenix Contact M12 right-angle connectors are designed for through-hole reflow (THR) soldering processes and are compatible with pick-and-place automation for automated PCB assembly. This helps keep manufacturing lines running efficiently while also offering flexibility in an OEM's design, thanks to an angled form factor.
