D2EW and D2EW-R Sealed Ultra Subminiature Basic Switches

Omron D2EW switches are available in an ultra-small 8.3 mm x 7.0 mm x 5.3 mm package. They are IP67 rated (excluding terminals on terminal models), making these switches ideal for places subject to water spray or excessive dust. New models of the D2EW switches have also been added: UL Approved, mounting structure side slot, straight PCB terminals, short press-fit terminals, molded lead wires (downward, left, or right), and M3 screw mount. D2EW switches are part of the smallest class in the industry, along with the D2GW (8.3 mm x 7.0 mm x 5.3 mm). A new addition to the series is the D2EW-R, which is equipped with integrated resistors that can be used as a powerful tool for comprehensive circuit monitoring. It can detect four distinct states: OFF - indicating an open circuit, ON - indicating a closed circuit, short-circuit - signaling a direct connection between two points that can cause excessive current, and disconnected - highlighting a break or faulty connection in the circuit. By monitoring these states, engineers can quickly identify and troubleshoot any issues, ensuring smooth and efficient device operation.
