PowerWize Blind-Mate Interface (BMI)

Molex PowerWize BMI high-current panel-to-board/busbar interconnects are designed to transmit high currents efficiently through right-angle and vertical headers, compatible with printed circuit boards or busbars. These interconnects feature crimp contacts available in three sizes: 3.40 mm (75.0 A), 6.00 mm (110.0 A), and 8.00 mm (175.0 A), utilizing COEUR sockets for reliable performance.

The connectors incorporate blind-mating guideposts to align the inner walls of the header's shrouds during mating, ensuring smooth and error-free connections, particularly in drawer-style applications where the connectors may be obscured. Additionally, the self-aligning panel-mount receptacle flanges provide flexibility for mounting, accommodating either force-fit standoffs with bolts (ideal when access is limited to one side of the panel) or shoulder screws with nuts (preferred when access is available to both sides). To address tolerance stack-up challenges, the panel-mount receptacle allows for ±2.00 mm of radial float, ensuring precise alignment and robust performance in demanding applications.
