LRS-N2 Series: 100 W/200 W/350 W/600 W Enclosed Type Power Supplies

MEAN WELL's LRS-100N2, LRS-200N2, LRS-350N2, and LRS-600N2 series provide customers with power supplies with instantaneous 200% peak power consumption (duty ≤35%) without increasing the wattage, helping customers improve application problems and reduce total costs. The enclosed-type power supplies are used in a wide range of industrial fields, including various electrical equipment or electronic controls. Typically, power supplies need to provide higher startup peak power for inductive loads such as motor products or electronic controls and would usually start with a large current capacitive load application due to the energy storage capacitors on the circuit. The LRS-N2 series changes that.

Although enclosed type is one of its major product lines, MEAN WELL continues to develop products to provide more standardized power supplies to serve global customers and various industrial applications. The most significant difference between the LRS-100N2, LRS-200N2, LRS-350N2, and LRS-600N2 series and the previous LRS is the 200% instant peak power for up to 5 seconds, which reduces the issues when matching with various instantaneous high current during startup applications. Customers do not need to buy higher wattage; they simply use it with a normal wattage combined with immediate peak power. Doing this reduces the purchasing cost of power supply and helps customers improve application problems. The output voltages currently provided are 12 V, 24 V, 36 V, and 48 V, commonly used in industrial equipment. The mechanical dimensions are the same as the previous LRS series, making the LRS-N2 convenient replacements for customers to use.

In addition to the UL/EN 62386-1 certification, the LRS-N2 series complies with EN standards and 61558-1 OVC III design for industrial power supplies. Generally, products with an OVC III design are more suitable for industrial equipment because they can be connected directly from the distribution box and save the cost of an additional isolation transformer. At the same time, the series is also dual-certified to help customers shorten the certification process and can be used with various electronic equipment or mechanical equipment, such as robotic arms, motor control, coffee machines, emergency lighting systems, and more.
