5G Hub's USB modem is an LTE Cat 1 cellular and GNSS modem in a USB stick form factor. It supports LTE-FDD/WCDMA/GSM and provides data connectivity on LTE-FDD, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+, HSDPA, HSUPA, and WCDMA networks. The LTE Cat 1 provides a maximum data rate of 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink.
The USB modem also features a Microchip SAMD21G18A microcontroller (MCU) which features a 32-bit Arm® Cortex® M0+ core. The USB modem has UFL connectors for LTE, Diversity, and GNSS antennas.
The USB modem provides rich sets of internet protocols, industry-standard interfaces (USB/UART/I2C/SPI/ADC/GPIOs/LEDs), and abundant functionalities. The board offers a high integration level and enables integrators and developers to easily design their applications and take advantage of the USB modem's low power consumption, many functionalities, and USB drivers for Windows, Linux, and Android.
