Heavy-Duty Heat Shrink Boots and Caps

3M's heat shrink cable breakout boot insulates and seals cable breakouts in multi-conductor armored or sheathed cables. Heavy-duty breakout boots (HDBB) provide strain relief and environmental/mechanical protection for breakouts in multi-conductor armored or sheathed cables. This heavy-duty boot offers good electrical and mechanical protection. The cross-linked, MIL I 81765 1 qualified polyolefin construction is semi-rigid and flame retardant. The heat shrink breakout boot has an internal coating of adhesive that ensures reliable environmental sealing of cable breakouts in cables and conduit ends. These boots are RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant.

3M heat shrink molded shapes are well suited for waterproof seals in electrical connections. Available in breakout boots and end caps, each shape is easy to install and provides exceptional protection from chemicals, water, moisture, air, and dirt. The heavy-duty end caps SKE series are typically used to seal cable ends and provide mechanical and environmental protection. With the exception of SKE 4/10, these end caps can be fitted with air valves suitable for pressurized cable applications. Caps are available in six different diameter ranges.
