AC DC Converters


Board mount AC DC converters also known as PCB mounted AC DC modules or on-board AC DC power supplies are compact switching power modules designed to be soldered or mounted directly on a printed circuit board. These modules accept mains AC input (or universal input AC of 85-264 VAC) and deliver one or more regulated DC outputs with or without isolation, filtering, and multiple protections.

These converters allow designers to integrate high-voltage conversion into the PCB layout while maintaining compactness, thermal control, and regulatory compliance.

Form Factors

  • Encapsulated / encased modules - sealed modules with epoxy or potting compound, provides environmental protection.
  • Open frame modules - intended to be used inside enclosures with heatsinks and/or convection cooling.
  • Baseplate modules - include a thermal baseplate or heatsink interface to support conduction cooling.
