CL Series NTC Inrush Current Limiters

The CL series from Amphenol Advanced Sensors is used to reduce large inrush currents

Image of Amphenol Advanced Sensors CL Series NTC Inrush Current LimitersAmphenol Advanced Sensors' CL series of inrush current limiting thermistors consists of a disc thermistor with uninsulated lead-wires. They are used to control inrush current when switching power supplies. The primary purpose of limiting inrush current is to prevent components in series with the input to the DC/DC converter from being damaged. Typically, inrush protection prevents nuisance blowing of fuses or breakers as well as welding of switch contacts.
