High-Precision Programmable Linear Hall-Effect Sensor with Arbitrary Output Characteristics
HAL 242x is a new family of Micronas’ programmable linear Hall-effect sensors. This family consists of two members: the HAL 2420 and the HAL 2425. Both devices are universal magnetic field sensors with a linear output based on the Hall effect. Major characteristics like magnetic field range, sensitivity, output quiescent voltage (output voltage at B=0 mT), and output voltage range are programmable in a non-volatile memory. The sensors have a ratiometric output characteristic, which means that the output voltage is proportional to the magnetic flux and the supply voltage. Additionally, both sensors offer wire-break detection.
